A new side of Florida

So here is blog number 2! As we were sitting in our living room with our friends Brandon and Krista, Krista gets a phone call. Edge of your seat right!!Well in this phone call all I zone in to hear is HOG SHOW! What Hog Show, in FL. Well apparently Krista is like the mother of all Hog Show people. So of course we have to go check this out. Well 20 min. of driving later we are at the mother of all hog shows EVER. It was so cool. There were like a kabillion hogs and like four kabillion people. Hogs Everywhere. Not neccessarily your dream ZEINA!;) So we come to find out that these kids (Krista being like the former Queen of it all) Show these hogs, and whoever gets best in show gets to sell their hog first to be killed and eaten! Yeah! So people come from all over to bid on these hogs, 1000 of dollars to these 12 year old boys and girls to buy pigs that will be slaughtered and then they stock their freezer. Are they hibernating? Cool for the kid who just walked away with 4000 dollars, not so cool for the pork on a stick! I have to admit it was pretty cool! Apparently the kids get off a whole week of school for this, and it is a whole week of events! Strangest thing I have ever seen!

Two Things I Said I Would Never Do...

Two things I said I would never do, I have given in on in less than two days. 1) I said I would never have one of these blog things, 2) I said I would never have a cat. Well I have a blog now and I have TWO cats. Let me introduce you to beans. Sable's sworn enemy, my kitten, and Nate's annoyance because her name is beans! There is so much estrogen in that one bedroom apartment that he will huddled in a corner in the fetal position before the weeks end. Thankfully we will be coming to our TX home, I must clarify that my home is where my husband is, where Nate can get a full dose of man time with my dad. They can grunt and belch and scratch there bums with the best of them and all will be right in the world! Things in FL are good. It is finally cold and I am the only one loving it. Considering Nate and I work at the same place in the same building only steps away from each other, we are doing great. I go to school two nights a week and both Nate and I work 8-5 at the University of Florida. We have made a great group of friends and are avid Nintendo Wii players. We Wii alot! The Wii's have all the old games and one of them that our friends Brandon and Krista have is Sonic the Hedge Hog!!! I love that game. Nate and I cook which is another miracle in the making, that I cook and Nate eats it. No food poisoning yet but we will wait and see. The pics I have posted are of Nate and I at cedar keys where I saw wild dolphins. I have never seen them before! And the second is after we went swimming with manatees in Crystal River. Also wild.... Very cool and COLD!! We wore wet suits and snorkel gear. Brandon has a boat so we just piled on it and then Nate and Rob sat in a little blow up boat that we pulled behind ( people restrictions). It was great fun! Other than that I am not sure what else to say with this update. I will post some apartment pics soon! Come see us! We have two couches and Disney World just a drive away!
